After the Flood: 2011

That day, rain brought death. Raging torrent swept away Lives, homes, happiness. TV images, Bring impotent sympathy For loss, shock and tears. On a nearby shore — Little blue boat, torn in half, A chair up-ended. Two porcupine fish — Victims of freshwater flood Mourned by a small child.
