After All These Years Together

I know you
almost
as well as
I know myself
over the years
I have learned
your moods,
your face
each expression
each crease,
each worry line,
each crinkle around the eyes..
Where they began...
why they are there.
Would I erase them
if I could?
Never...
For if I could,
if they were no longer a part of you...
it would take away
your past
and mine..
and ours together...
