Africa's Cry
As the sun-kissed down, people want to scatter
All of the time, they are suspicious of the surroundings
Gun sounds and blasts heard and seen
It's almost tearing the continent apart
If we don't resort for a solution
The problem won't become small, it would increase
As a tumor cell that grows from within
We trust those who question our judgment
Our choices Is a discussion, is that how it's suppose to be?
Can't lie no more, what's worth hiding?
Yet it can be seen with a keen eye
Africa's cries, do you hear or do you ignore?
As we try to make steps, they put a banana peel on the way
Tell me, should we act with a blind eye?
Be deaf to those who speak the truth?
Our girls are been taken by force, can't there be a way to get them back?
Our young men are been put to silence for bravery
Soldiers on the land, patrolling where they are comrades have fallen
Counting the causalities from the cause
For a moment, let's be silent
The 21 gun salute has to be fired
We pray for safety when a situation comes
Is this how it should be? Can't really know
Don't be the smart one, even you know you always question yourself
Children, mothers and fathers all in need
Dying of hunger, thirst and cold
They told me to leave the world a better than I found it
Only for me to realize that we making it worse
Mama give me your blessings
Papa teach me the ways of the Golden era
Ss Africa pleads, I also cry with her
Don't worry Mama, thinks will change
I know son, I wish they could see what I have seen
