Afraid To Die

Most people are afraid to die A fatal blow it seems , death does If a corpse came back to life they'd cry Please tell us how it was A pillow as soft as downy silks A night as long as souls can stand A blacken overlay of quilts An escape rout from the fate of man Thus is the consequence of death A restful sleep; a silent hush Until we kick the covers away And the shadow of death forsakes us. A very beautiful written poem, it s the reality that we should accept, I like what you re trying to do, remember never be afraid of death as It will come try to enjoy your life as much as you can but never forget your lord as you ve to give account of yourself, however I m new on this site and would really appreciate if you could find time to read my poems and give your honest reviews about them

This is utterly delightful, the subject matter notwithstanding. The last two lines are brilliant. Thank you for sharing this thoughtful, provocative composition. hugs x x x Paul
