Adultery

She has secrets she won’t talk about, Secrets she hides far away, Things that only she knows about, Things that are kept from display, Secrets she keeps from her husband, her man, Things never spoken or said, Things she does in this other man’s house, Things she does in his bed, And she keeps secrets from this other man too, Secrets about her family and home, This other man believes she lives by herself, In a house where she lives all alone, And none of her friends know the secrets she keeps, Each day she wears her disguise, Keeping her secrets behind a wall of deceit, In a web of adulterous lies.
