Adrenaline
With one bite, the jaws of life closed in
More nervous than I ever have been
Knees quivering as the sweat drips
Leaking from my palms to my fingertips
My heart is running multiple laps
Beating loudly like hand claps
The truth overwhelms me
Listening with my eyes closed, afraid to see
