Add It All Up

Old and new, rich and poor, and those of whom you're not quite sure school and work, and some on the block others of whom you oughta take stock Fair-weather or true-blue they've all supported you -- Yet as on your journey you wend how many remain your friend... As for me and my outlook on life the one friend I can count on's my wife

You are lucky to have a wonderful wife; so many men have lost theirs already. Sadly.

Hello Gershon ... it's great to come home from a day of stress and find a true friend to ease the tension - thanks again Gershon - Lindsay

I love the roll of the rhymes here, and your last line so sweetly warm, think I'll fave this one...

So true, gw...and now mine's gone. I have found that many friends simply pass through our lives and move on to their own. At least this has been my experience. I have less than a handful of long-term friends with whom I am regularly in contact, and I lost one of them last week to cancer.

So sorry to hear of the loss of one of your good friends. It gets rough past 70, and then there's the 80's... I've found that after the initial shock and sadness play out, I redouble my efforts to make the most of whatever time I may have left. ~ EMC (Every Minute Counts)
