Across the Room
By Mark Lee
I can see you from across the room
I just can't look away
I can think of so many things
That I would like to say
You are beautiful and gorgeous
Its plain for anyone to see
I have wished a million times
That you were meant for me
I know you don't like me
And you probably never will
But I dream about you every night
I never can get my fill
I can only wish for one thing
And I hope that it will come true
I hope that girl will notice me
And make me feel brand new
I don't have much to offer
In fact you can say I'm poor
But my love and dedication
Will be impossible to ignore
So I stand here in this corner
With these thoughts all through my head
I wish I had the courage
To just say these words instead
And in the end I'll wonder
If it was ever meant to be
I wonder why I am all alone
For all eternity
And so I ask you: why is love
For all the other people in the world?
Because I know that I would give up everything
If you would be my girl!
