Across the Bridge
Like a seed she planted her
knees
In earth and lifted the burden
of silence from her tongue
and
begged for forgive for her
sins.
In her prayers she exclaimed
that
if the weakening rainbow
bridge
could bear the burden of her
feet
she would walk across to the
other
side of the sky from where
she fell
to reclaim her wings.
