Abysmal Sorrow
You are my idol, epitome of my life.
I treasure thy memories, buried deep in my heart.
I cherish that warmth as a toddler,
When on your chest I slept .
I miss your fingers caressing my hair, as I wept.
I admire that hug as I excelled in exams,
I miss your temper as I annoyed you with my pals.
I adore those moments when we shared ideas on
humanity, education, nation and politics,
I miss those times when we celebrated
days and events.
I felt dejected as u relinquish life,
Tears go dry in abysmal sorrow,
Now as I recapture in retrospection,
I have nothing but to embrace your memories............
You are my sole inspiration,
I miss you deeply, dad !!!!
Written on
In loving memory of my father,
and dedicated to him
Now for contest- Father's Day
