Abuse In the News
We haven’t heard their entire story yet
But our emotions are shocked and inflamed.
He took the very best years of their lives.
Their carefree youth can never be reclaimed.
That he can bear to touch his putrid flesh
Or look at his own evil mirrored face
Is beyond coherent understanding.
He simply can’t be of the human race.
I wonder what the parents are thinking
Whose young children were entrusted to him.
They’d been driven to school by a monster.
It’s like a terror tale written by Grimm.
He left mothers and fathers in limbo,
Knowing not if precious daughters were dead.
I am glad they did not know the horror
Their lost loved ones were enduring instead.
