Abuse
She had all the battle scars
Of a soldier at war
She was neglected and abused
Abandoned and refused
Unwanted and unloved
She wished for the wings of a dove
So she could fly far away
From her troubles today
To escape from the pain
From the stress and the strain
With tears in her eyes
She slept under starry skies
Out in the cold
With no one to hold
Unable to cope
She had lost all hope
