Absurdism
It's absurd to think we're surrounded by love
Children shed tears, malnourished and maltreated,
Men go to war, fight, and die without justice,
Women are dejected by society, bounded by clothes of a prostitute.
It's absurd to think we even have laws
Murderer at every corner, masked by innocent skin,
Debauchery spearheaded by the government,
Unblemished souls sat quietly at their cage.
It's absurd to think that legacies will last forever.
While memories fade, people forget,
Papers scorched by fire, books damped by rain,
My voice last only to be an echo, then into oblivion.
It's absurd to think of what is true
If we believe only what's naked to the eye,
Or refuse to believe at all, taking refuge,
In nightmares and dreams, in hallucinations and illusions.
It’s absurd to think that everything is impossible
When black and white are already a color,
When only paper flowers are given between lovers,
When children burden everyday labor, and adults, their leisure.
It’s absurd to think of tangible dreams
When these dreams are achieved with only temporary dreams,
When life is here, death will come, and in the end
We’ll wake walking through pavements of broken dreams
It's absurd to think the idea of normal and success
If fools believe they're wise, and the wise, a fool
When success uses blood as money and flesh as steppingstones
Drench in our natural insanity. I truly believe in absurdism
~~ Sorry for this, I feel like that it's still so incomplete.
And that it's too.....WORDY
Guys, I'm 14
