Abolish Ignorance

Ignorance is what I would abolish I'd educate the world from A to Z Oldest, youngest, largest and the smallest Solve universal problems one, two, three Teach everyone the skills to read and write And give them back their pride and confidence With education dark will turn to light The world would change with this benevolence Maybe they will find a cure for cancer Or simply help them feed their family Chances are they might just have the answer Eradicate hunger and poverty Abolishing the world of ignorance It seems to me it's only common sense By Daniel Turner

A beautifully written Sonnet, Daniel, that expresses so many wishes to abolish all the negative things that make for unhappiness in our world. Someday, perhaps they will come true. Sandra

I'm not so sure Daniel. For example, who is to judge that the Aboriginals here were ignorant? Or the native Americans? Perhaps we supposedly educated folk are the ignorant ones. We certainly are not too good at nurtering this precious planet of ours.

There are many forms of ignorance, Jean. Being ignorant of another's way of life is what led to the destruction of their societies. Education is for everyone, nobody knows everything. Peace my friend:)
