A Winter's Walk

Snowflakes dancing with the wildest wind, Those to enhance footprints destined. The Barren moor top in virgin shroud, Mingles and jostles amid darkest cloud. Snow on ‘Daughton Heights’ Reflecting, Gleaming dreaming retrospecting. Upon one’s journey through drifts bound, The first imprints honest and profound. A Whiter shade of pale exposed, Blanket mist, the sun indisposed. The Crocus the Snowdrop quivers, Above ground another dawn shivers. © Harry J Horsman 2011

Great job! I really liked it. :) We don't get too much snow where I live, so the first snowstorm of winter is always a thing to be remembered. :)

"The barren moor - Daughton Heights." I'm shivering, Harry. Suppose Heathcliff is looking for Kathy out there? Wonderful stuff! Love, daver
