A Winter's Night

The clouds are grey, And have been all day, But through the gloom, I gaze up at the Moon, And it stares unblinking back. A single eye, Up in the sky, Amidst the inky black. A cold wind blows, Through my hair, And up my nose! So crisp, so clean, So fresh, I sneeze! And in the air it froze. Stars so bright, Frost so new, Snow starts to fall, And sticks there too. I'm almost home, And by the fire, all alone. On a Winter's night.
