A Winter Walk
A Winter Walk
The evening winds
Almost to close
And I must venture
Out the door.
My winter walk
A daily muse
A cold brisk night of
New fresh snow,
Pull on my boots and
Out I go.
My single steps upon the snow
Repeat to mind
A child long ago.
Amazed enlightened all with awe
Crystal glistens low and tall
Lowly bent the graceful limbs
Praising earth in humble wind.
Silence……but a single flake
Makes its way upon my face.
I walk in rarest wonder
Silent darkness glows
Mesmerizing every breath
Forgetting all my woes.
For this is earth
A heavenly place
It’s meant for us and free
So I must take my winter walk
And celebrate the eve.
