Small white garden spiders are most often seen in Fall according to internet info.
I just had never seen a white spider before so I looked him up on the puter.
I thought he was pretty.
Working in my garden,
Early in the Fall,
A spied a small white spider,
Sitting on the wall.
He seemed surprised as I was,
To see him sitting there,
As I puttered in my garden,
In the crisp, clean air.
I stopped to study him awhile,
And he looked back at me.
I'd never seen the like of him,
Nor I guess had he.
He bowed up on his tiny legs,
To make his getaway;
So I backed off to let him pass,
And go upon his way.
Perhaps I'll see him in the Spring,
When Winter's chill is gone,
Sunning himself in the garden,
'Midst the flowers on the lawn.
