Brilliant the Moon shone this night A watching owl, unmoving, sits. The world bathed in silver light As owl and prey battle wits, Which one or t'other will manage it. Entry for Writing Challenge 3, August 2019- Five Lines- Poetry Contest Sponsored by Dear Heart. 28/8/2019. Placed=2nd.

Gary, I like this poem. Always liked the Southern version "t'other". Owls look so noble and fly silent as Silent One. -Richard
