A Walk To the Market
It’s a rainy snowy mix
Not a nice day to walk to the market
But I had to go, rain or snow
On the sidewalk lay a mound of crumbs
Two sparrows swooped down to fill their tums
The two ate so fast than flew away
Not one crumb was left on this wintery mix day
At the market I selected three fresh rolls
I crumbled the three they weren’t for me
Outside the market one mound I left
Halfway home another where they roam
At my doorstep, last but not least
The last mound of crumbs will be the third feast
