A Walk To Remember
The river shimmers winding past,
as it travels ‘round the bend.
I catch my breath, and sense at last
I’ve found a long lost friend.
The forest whispers beckon me
I’m enlightened every year, and eternally
grateful for moments like these,
they’re a journey’s souvenir.
I ponder long which path I’ll take,
‘cause the weather’s opportune.
From the highest peak or deepest lake,
I will see the crescent moon.
You can do as you please
when your mind is at ease,
and your pathway is
warmed by the sun.
It’s the challenge I savor,
‘cause both paths I favor,
my passage has only begun…
The first step is key
and will set your mind free,
on this journey of the soul.
You can’t choose the beginning,
but can rewrite the ending,
on the last curl of the scroll. . .
