A Walk In the Park
Sometimes she needs to get away,
if she gets the notion,
to get away for just a bit,
from all the noise and commotion,
just a drive to the park,
is her best reprieve,
she just needed some solace,
some quiet and some peace…
Just to be alone with her thoughts,
she knows she's got a lot on her plate,
she contemplates her family's future,
wonders what will be their fate…
walking along the path,
watching the antics of the squirrels,
the people out walking their dogs,
she suddenly starts to smile,
her chin lifts up and with a spring in her step,
walks another mile...
