Close your eyes and picture
a fun-filled, wacky world.
Where stars bejewel night,
and reality's blurred.
Imagine a blue sky
with billowing white clouds.
And allow that image
to supplant city crowds.
Think of when you last smiled,
now, hold on to that thought.
And relive the feelings
that a simple smile brought.
Let your mind consider
life's possibilities.
And don't limit your wants
or capabilities.
Dream about tomorrow
if you don't like today.
For amidst happy thoughts,
depression slips away.
Open your eyes and see
reality, anew.
The world's filled with wonders;
and one of them is you.
