A Wacky Sense of Humour

How to define funny What makes us tickle Humour comes easy But sometimes it's fickle One person laughs Another just groans Depends on your senses You giggle or moan Some find humour In most things they see Depends on your outlook That's surely the key Go around moping With chin on the ground You sure won't be able To wipe off that frown You must laugh at life And not take it serious Don't fret over things Silly and frivolous Look at this guy Turned seventy-seven Very few sad thoughts On his journey to Heaven So take this advice From someone who knows Try hard to be jolly Smile down to your toes The world's just a stage For your comedy routine Just keep 'em laughing But please keep it clean © Jack Ellison 2012

Great to read you this morning. I was about to fly to Phoenix, my Dad, had a blood clot on his lungs... He seems better and said they're releasing him from the hospital... or He might be confused... We're waiting to hear from the doctor... It's a long distance comedy of errors... He might actually be going home and the nurses haven't got his walking orders yet... or not... AAAHHH!!! Your poems perk me up... My Dad drives me crazy... At this rate I may have a good crazy poem to write...

Yes, I agree, Jack. The world is too funny at times not to laugh. You don't look seventy seven at all. And I love your poems. Keep them coming - all this teaching and funny verses. We surely can use them. Love ya, Toquyen
