A Visitor With a Message

Klaatu was an alien who came from a planet near a distant star. To deliver a message to the people of the earth, he came far. Klaatu’s home was far beyond the orbit of our moon. The time of the year happened to be in the summer month of June. His spaceship landed in the middle of the capital city of Washington. A gadget Klaatu carried was mistakenly believed to be a stun gun. One of the soldiers hastily shot the alien in the arm. Gort the robot appeared to pull his master away from harm. Klaatu lived incognito among the people of DC. Do you want to know what happened? Watch the movie. Based on the 1951 film “The Day the Earth Stood Still”

Wow!!!! It also sounds almost like the newer version of the same title, but featuring Keanu Reeves. A great story! :-)

It is a really great movie. Keanu Reeves takes the role like that of Klaatu. His a product of a human DNA.

I was not aware they filmed a remake of the '51 classic. That one starred the late Michael Rennie in the role of Klaatu. I'll have to check out the one you are mentioning.
