A Tree Sitting In the Snow

There once was a tree sitting in the snow, Its branches dusted white, content to be. Shafts of moonlight shinning on it below, Then appeared a star on top of the tree. It was sent from above without a word To herald a birth, with the three wise men. No footsteps were seen, and no voices heard, Appearing each year in that snow packed glen. It shined ever brightly on Christmas Eve, Thus bringing joy and hope for all to see. After that it would fade away and leave, Its message left behind to set men free. The tree stood tall, somehow it always knew, The star would appear, as if right on cue.
