A Treasure More Prized Than Gold

A friend may not call you every day Or even email you once in a while. But a momentary thought of them Brings to your face a little smile. The times you laughed until you cried. The times you cried and held on fast. A fleeting emptiness that comes when Too much time has long since passed. In a lifetime many friends are made. Some drift away or are lost in time For those who’ve stayed by your side There is a bond shared in this rhyme. To all new friends both new and old, A treasure more prized than gold.
