A Tiny Lizard
I found a tiny lizard
Climbing on a tiny tree
I put him in a tiny jar
And took him home with me
I put him on my tall dresser
Next to my tall gleaming lamp,
I showed him to my tall brother
Who said “show it to ol’ Gramps”.
In the den I found old gramps,
Sitting wearily in his old chair
He saw I had something in my hand
And said “what do you have there”?
I showed him the tiny lizard
Exploring in the tiny jar
Old Gramps said I had to let it go
I had already moved it too far
So I went back to the tiny tree
To let the tiny lizard go
I opened the lid on the tiny jar
And I sent the tiny lizard home.
