Time to Reflect When the sparkling shine of spring spreads on earth It`s a time for flowers to take new birth, For birds to hop gaily from branch to branch, For green grasses to take on a new chance, The ground to be gilt with a new carpet And men on nature`s beauty to reflect. When winter wind blows apace from the north, Branches and grasses bend in the wind`s course Snowflakes settle on huge bending branches, Birds leave their nest to fly to warmer stances Snow enfolds the earth with a cold blanket It`s a time on gloom of life to reflect. When the morning sun sparks its shine on earth Casts its golden hue on neighbouring fields Slowly glides up along an azure sky, Beckoning new hopes that ahead do lie, It`s a time to reflect on coming days And how in life to pursue on one`s way. When the veil of night envelopes the air And silence pervades the space everywhere, When stars and the moon light the greyish sky When the chirping of crickets mounts up high, It`s a time with inner self to connect, It`s a time on life`s meaning to reflect. When the last day of the year greets our door When first day of a new year is ashore, It`s a time to reflect on goals achieved, It`s a time to reflect on goals we`ll weave, The path on which we shall enroll ourselves To reach our end without wrecking our self. When hair turns grey, bones are rusty with stains And the body often twinges with pains, It`s a time to reflect on one`s past deeds To bring a helping hand to those in needs, It`s a time to reflect on what lies high And seek the grace of the Lord in the sky, It is a time to reflect with our heart On how with smiles and joy we shall depart.
