A Thousand Poems

A thousand poems for you, a thousand more tomorrow goodnight. A thousand poems for you, my love, a thousand and a thousand more tomorrow. Goodnight. The tolling of the iron bells, as I follow in her footsteps, leaving traces of loose pieces of paper dancing in the whistling winds in mid summer's twilight. The grass is greener on her side, but without her, the grass is dead. Tore my soul, the bridge burns away, now alone. Sleepwalking and tired, dreaming of her walking away and away she does. Dizzy highways and tall oak trees tear my life into two pieces of life and death. Dreaming of her, walking opposite of me, in recognizable places I've once travelled before, tired, wanting death swiftly and silently; hunger not satisfied, something deep inside me, I cannot bear to see her, for my heart aches and I cannot bear such pain after all these years. So... my dear, to show my love, a thousand poems for you, a thousand poems for you tomorrow and on and on till death comes, on and on, one by one... A thousand poems for you a thousand poems tomorrow. Goodnight.
