A Tender Note-Nw

a tender note at twilight. two sugar plums in love. wind chimes play a leitmotif, as the candle flame softly sways. hands touch, lips whisper of happily-ever-afters, whilst talking of adventure, of marriage and children. a tender note, a plot. the invite was good, but the flame died out. the wedding chimes carry the note and the bridal bouquet to the grave.

Love it! Oh, don't be so fatalistic. Think of all the charming chances to try again. I've been there, heartbreaking. Your poetry is splendid!

Ouch! No chance. Such a waste. Though I personally do believe in reincarnation. Sad if one should commit suicide for any reason...or be sad, for the rest of one's life (ended in a sense) before the grave. People need to reach out. God never leaves us hopeless, has been my experience anyway. Sorry for the wrong interpretation. I probably still have it wrong, and should just shut up.

If it’s not obvious the bride is dead. Just a story, my friend!

Whether a short or long happiness, the end is sad. Thanks, my friend!

The sudden twist at the end is characteristic of life. We dream and plan of things. But fate acts differently ! Great poem, Kim

I guess this tiny flame couldn't compete with the wildfires out West... Pity...
