A Taste of the Divine

I’m blooming under your care Wilted petals now a flare My inner soul lying bare Nectar sweet with you to share I'm drunk on your flowing streams Floating on your cloud of dreams All I touch with beauty gleams Sugar coated my mouth seems My life flows in pleasant rhyme Dancing to love’s singing chime Soul revived in passion’s clime In you I taste the divine…. Yes, in you I taste the divine.... Eileen Manassian Ghali

Such an absolute inspiration, a resurgence of soul, the greatest gift of love. I've been in love like this once before. When love is in this mood and phase One feels invincible, 100% alive. This effect of love can survive too, to become more than a phase for some. The cadence in this poem is wonderful Eileen. The happiness so liberated through your exhuberant metaphors. Unforgetable love woman. I feel like a fool, for not reading these prior poems sooner. J.A.B.

What matters is that you are here now, Justin. Poetry never gets old. It lives one. Does this type of love last....that is the question. Love the word cadence. :) You always know which words to choose to touch m heart. Thanks for the visit, Justin. I'm glad you liked this poem.

Change tinkling to singing. Tinkling makes me think of something not so poetic. *lol* otherwise love the poem and especially the title.

;) I can't help it if this word conjures up other images for the male population! ....It's hilarious, but honestly....what chimes do IS tinkle...Why oh why did this lovely word have to be used for..... OH WELL....I will take your advice and change it! :) Thanks for sharing....

Well, Mr Seal.....I'm definitely high on SOMETHING! :) Let me fly, Richard.....I'm sometimes in the depth of despair so....when the good times come....I try to maximize as much as possible....The pendulum of my life.....extremes...extremes....so, NO, I won't leave the candies alone.... ;)

Ah, such eloquent rhyme flow!!! "Yes, in you I taste the divine" (damn, what a line!)...smiles of sunrises, they shine. Leaving me breathless, like passing moments of time. Hearts intertwine. Laughter slding down mother nature's vines. Oh, how fun are these rhymes. =D
