A Taste of Heaven
Some of us are lacking in
Compassion.
When it comes to the heart
They're assassins.
They are pros,
They play the part.
Some have seduction down
To an art.
They are smooth,
Appears to have no flaws.
An academy award,
They deserve applause.
Your left standing with a
Tortured soul.
Your single no longer part
Of a whole.
You find yourself here,
You crave being there.
In a crisis,
A state of despair.
When you see the true
Heart Of the matter.
You can see tears,
Can't hear the laughter.
A decade, a part of the
Past.
You're still recovering from
The blast.
They move on and become
Someone new.
They don't care if they took
A part of you.
They teach us a valuable
Lesson.
Fooled by hell,
With a taste of heaven.
