A Talk With Tomorrow
I had a talk with Tomorrow today,
When we both sat on a seat.
Tomorrow said he was the most important time
That I would ever meet.
He said I’d have better learnt a lot
From yesterday’s short burst.
And that by the end of today,
I should dive into tomorrow 100% head first.
He insisted that if I understood
The relevance of all of yesterday,
That I would really enjoy tomorrow,
That it’d be a great big play.
I pondered and wondered about these words
Of wisdom said straight into my eyes,
To approach every day with great big gust,
Else time grows wings, jumps and flies.
For contest past, present, future.
Awarded 3rd place
