A Tale of Two Christmas Parties
The doors are now closed, the party’s begun
With food and funny gifts for everyone
The boss wears a silly hat on his head
The workers have reindeer antlers instead.
Turn up the Christmas music really loud
Now that works all done, no heads will be bowed
Silly gifts opened, with laughter all ‘round
And glasses raised, many toasts will abound.
One after another they merrily drink
The IPhone’s come out, and what do you think?
Your party’s gone viral for all to see
A picture of you on your boss’s knee!
There will be smiles, and there will be applause
Because you’re his wife, and he’s Santa Claus!
You’ve all worked hard to make the season bright
You deserve a party, you’ve earned the right
Don’t forget the reindeer for all they’ve done
With a bale of hay for each and every one!
When at your office party, you best think
Before you are offered another drink
In our current world, there’s no privacy
They’ll see if you sit on Your boss’s knee!
