A Summer's Rain
A summer’s rain
Waiting for that summer rain
When the love of the sun burns
A relief is on the way
Dark clouds in the horizon
Waiting for the rain to wash away
The stains of yesterday
A new feeling
A new scent
Getting tired of the burnt smell
That lingers like the pain
What’s her name?
Here it comes
Slowly it drizzles
Masking the tear in your eye
Like a child running to open gifts
The excitement is too much
Rain drops on your head
A steady pace
You leap into the puddle that’s gather rain
Splashing in fun
Like when you were a younger
When life was so simple then
At this moment
You are care free
Enjoying the rain
The sound of thunder
You drown out with your laughter
A smile on your face
It has been to long
You have forgotten what it looked like
Spinning around in a circle
Eyes lifted to the heavens
Thanking God
For his loving grace
For wiping away
The sadness on your face
Never do you want to leave
This moment
Time and place
Free from all the troubles
Free to enjoy
That summer’s rain
