A Summer's Day

A summer’s day is like a dream, The sun that shines, the flowing stream. The bird’s that sing their summer song, A perfect day that last’s so long. But not so long, for when night fall’s, The cool dark breeze, the wild life calls. Owl’s awake to find their prey, The moon’s their sun, the night their day. And so the darkness turn’s to light, Another day bid’s good bye to night. The grass is warmed by the sun’s bright ray, Another dreamy summer’s day.
