A Summer Day

unhurried thoughts sweet with honeysuckle. water melon eaten down to the rine. music from a neighbors radio on a blanket under the trees. bare feet and sunburned shoulders. warm lemonade from a pitcher cracking the ice cubes in a glass. watching the clouds make curtains on the windows of heaven. a summer day.
