A Strong Man Like a Baby In Her Arms

He is a strong man: unbendable, unbreakable…steel He is a brave man He fights his battles He claims his victories Vicious and fierce when the need arises Protective and overly zealous A fighter A gladiator who can wound To protect what is his A strong man by day Everyday But then at night, oh sweet blessed night A strong man like a baby in her arms He is covered in her scented softness She lets him suckle at her breast Feeding him her soul Nourishing him Whispering in his ear As she runs her hand through his hair Gently binding his wounds from battle Caressing his taught muscles with fragrant oil Soothing him Crooning to him Letting the last sound in his ears To be her melodious lullaby of love Her mighty warrior...her baby He drifts off into sleep Covered in her blanket of charms Safe from all harm A strong man like a baby in her arms Eileen Manassian Ghali Not for Line Contest “A strong man like a baby in her arms” A line penned by Richard Lamoureux in the poem: A Warrior Princess

I say enter it. You're only giving the sponser what's been asked for. He will, I'm sure, consider your poem on its own merits.

Yes...there wouldn't be any fighting, Mr Seal, if men got it right the FIRST time round! Hmmmmmm...what is construed as nagging is merely men putting things off till kingdom come, so they need gentle reminders! You've come back with a bite!!!! I WOULD enter it, except I think that perhaps it would be unfair for the sponsor to have to deal with a entry about one of his own poems. What do you think?

Quite similar to how Yin & Yang get along so well. Balance of strength & heart. Excellent job.

Need more info on this Yin and Yang. Heard about it, but don't know details. You use it a great deal in your posts and work. Care to elaborate? ;) Drake, thanks for always visiting my work. It brings me joy!

I cant believe there's no comments on this! Its really good. Made me smile, not like laughing, just genuinely made me smile in a happy way, interesting for me to read this from the perspective of a man but still, I completely understand the meaning here, I think that's when you know you have strong love; when a man, normally unbreakable against the world, could crumble into the most open person in your arms, very nice poem, enjoyed reading it.

WOW! What a lovely post. Thanks ever so much. Well, you know the Odepus complex and all that. Some men still need to be babied and mothered. Women are caregivers...who better to baby than the one you love! :)
