This form is called a monotetra, invented by Michael Walker.
Each stanza contains 4 lines in monorhyme.
Each line has 8 syllables. The 4th line is 4 syllables repeated.

Lightning blazes across the sky, Thunder rumbles in quick reply. Gusty winds cause debris to fly, While children cry, while children cry. Torrential rains fall night to day. Roads are flooded and washed away. Nature's wrath causing much dismay, While people pray, while people pray. A rainbow arcs across the sky, As stormy clouds go swiftly by. The sun comes out the earth to dry. Now comes a sigh, now comes a sigh. 2/24/13 for Shadow Hamilton's "Your Favourite Old Poem #3" contest

Hello Kim, this is a very good interpretation of a storm ending with the promise of God to never destroy the world in a flood again. Sometimes the storms we encounter in this day in time are quite intense and can test our fate but in my life God always comes through. Ver good poem Maam, I look forward to reading more.
