A Step Forward
I stand still
Yet things go on around me
People come and go
Dates fall from the calendar
In slow motion
Yet disappear so quickly
I stand still
Yet events are visited
Tasks are completed
Come and gone
Captured only in memory
I stand still
Where I started
No closer to
Yet no further away
From a goal, a purpose
A step forward
