A Star Is Born

Telescopes bring into view A distant object found. By delighted astronomers, A discovery profound. In the Taurus constellation, An elusive star appeared. Observed in utter elation, A cosmic orb austere. Remote in stellar space, A profusion of colors glow, In wondrous striking splendor, A fresh ethereal show. Beyond the Milky Way, Many light-years transcend. The star’s amazing birth, A new galactic friend.

This would surely be something to see, as we always tend to perceive stars as infinitely old .... but even they have young ones! I'm curious ... has anyone truly seen a star form before? I wasn't aware. Cool poem, James.

Hey Tim, thanks for your thoughts. I'm no astronomer, simply an admirer of God's handiwork. The tricky thing about stars is that they are so far away, once we see them, we observe conditions years back in time. Time traveling at 186k miles per second is fast, but still those bits of light are WAY OUT THERE! Thanks for your comment. I like your work.

I tend to think the Star is you! Loved this short treat James! I wanted it to last longer! Aloha, Connie

Clever. You, the girl with a way with words. Thanks for your kind remarks. I may pick up at the poem ending and see what happens when I cruise by the new star. Can't wait to venture there. Or, I may spend more time on my Pluto haranguing.
