A Spring Breeze
a warm breeze blows spring into the air,
pushing away the harsh winter
that has made our land so bare.
a sparrow just now making her nest,
spring time so welcome, as
the sunshine so gently touches her breast.
Robins everywhere i glance,
making sure they have a safe haven,
as i watch them, it puts me in a trance.
spring time turns everything new,
days so pure and clean, as i look
at the sky so clear and blue.
spring time so short, other winds shall come,
blowing summer heat toward us,
and long days ahead, will be so humdrum.
