A Special Letter
Sorry that the postman didn't come today;
To deliver you a letter I wish not to be delay'd,
But I sent the birds to give it to you.
In the sky they held it, and above they flew.
It happened that the letter was blown
It rested on a lost ship with the flown,
But the man there began to acclaim
Because they were your candles that flam'd
And up he gets to your house
To tell you by the bones of his mouth:
Happy Birthday.
