A Soldier

I am a soldier born to die, Whenever I die, don’t you cry. Put my medals on my chest, And tell my mom I did my best. Tell my father that I won’t be a fuss to him now, Tell him to keep my mom happy, don’t ask me how. Tell my sister to shine like a star that twinkles. Don’t cry or else you would get wrinkles. Tell my brother to save for me a chocolate box, And to take care of my dogs, Tell my daughter I said hi, And to fly high like a beautiful butterfly. Tell my wife that she is my life, In her heart I will always be alive. I know my family would be proud. Later cover me with a white shroud. Tell my family I hate tears, And to conquer all their fears.
