A Snapshot In Time

She could not reach out to touch him But they were as one, through space and time United as one soul together, understanding all She gazed down on him in sheer wonder This Adonis this truly beautiful embodiment of man She could hear his breathing, feel his breath As she silently observed him in sheer wonder and awe And praised the heavens for this, her one true love She gently then, like a soft breeze, placed a kiss on his lips Sleep well my darling, dream sweet dreams she whispered And then with a flicker he was suddenly gone The moment stayed in her memory, like a snapshot in time.
