A Simple Little Feather
A SIMPLE LITTLE FEATHER
A feather floated to the ground while I walked,
Even, as with The LORD, I did talk;
I had been telling HIM of the troubles I had;
How certain situations were making me sad;
Things just weren't right within my life;
Told HIM of struggles, depression and strife;
That's when I saw the feather fall down;
I looked to the trees and all around;
I saw no birds, from which it might have come;
Heard no singing, not even a hum;
I bent and picked the feather up;
Gently, it laid in my hands which were cupped;
Then, vaguely, I heard a sweet chorus above,
That sang of HIS greatness and Everlasting Love;
Though I could not see, from whence it came,
I knew right away and smiled just the same;
Since that day, when my eyes fall upon,
The feather that now resides in my home,
I think how The LORD, answered a desperate plea,
With a simple little feather, HE allowed me to see!
