A Shadow Many Miles Away
Many miles away there is a shadow,
its reality banks at the shores of tomorrow.
Hope is burried in the grave of greed,
the treasure-trees of our heroes bleed.
Many miles away there is a rainbow;
the radiance of relief from all our sorrow.
Harvest is near, guard your loins O reapers!
The Sun speaks not to the day-dreamers.
Many miles away there are sparrows:
eagle whose eyes are full of arrows.
They speak of vengeance and victory...
Hear their songs in the forest of mystery.
Many miles away there is a willow
planted by a stream so deep yet shalow.
On her branches rest fortune untold,
her path leads to the garden of gold.
Many miles away, many miles apart,
we shall bridge the gap in our hearts
till the sunshine speaks of times to come,
we will hold this moment to ransom.
