A Ripple of Fate

A collapsed cave houses my curse Where once stood your altar Memory haunts me like a headless horse A broken man with an empty centre It’s been a decade and some tears Since forever was lost to the winter Imprisoned by the cold of commitment fears The key dangles, but none dare entre Your grace was the fireplace to my hurt Your angel wings carried my soul A ripple of fate tore what we had apart A shockwave our love couldn’t sail A dark cloud thunders over my heart Its reign soaking me in sorrow Lightning flashes pain at your thought On my knees like a broken arrow
