A Rainy Day
On a rainy day,
When water comes down,
Tears fall from the sky.
It always rains on my parade.
I often wonder why,
When the sky gets dim,
My outlook's grim,
On the rest of the day to come.
I would much rather lay in bed,
Till the day I see the sun.
On a rainy day,
The children play.
In puddles littering the ground.
"Hurray!!!" you hear the children say,
"Splash, splash" goes the sound.
Muddy floors and shoes are what is "in"
The house always.
For one thing the housewife dreads
Is the coming of rainy days.
